Electric power, 21st-century designs, and cutting edge technology are some of the biggest trends in the auto industry this year. From hundreds of miles in electric car rage to driver assist technologies, it seems the sector is about to change forever.
Cars can now drive themselves, be safer, and even take voice commands. However, some of these technologies are still in their infancy, but they sure will start a revolution.
Here are some of the notable new cars in 2019.
2019 Ford Mustang Bullit
This superstar car has just made a comeback. After featuring in the 1968 Bullit movie, this bad boy has always had a special place in most car lovers hearts. And now it’s back with the same great look, but with newer technologies.
The 2019 Mustang comes with a 5.0-liter V8 engine and a choice between an automatic gearbox or six-speed manual transmission. It also has a new suspension, interior, and safety features that were primarily driven by the criticism of the outgoing model’s safety score. The “pony car” may not be as sophisticated, but it’s enormously big fun to drive.
Honda e
Though the Honda e is still a prototype at the time of this writing, there’s a lot of hype going around about it. Maybe because of its cute panda looks or the fact that it is fully electric. Honda has already rolled out the test drive program, and everyone who goes there comes back glowing with amazement.
This small city car comes with a decent 200 km rage and a battery pack that charges 80% in 30 minutes. This choice might be a shocker to many people who thought the automaker would try to rival Tesla ranges. But according to them, 200 km is more than enough for most people.
Hyundai Veloster
After failing in their last attempt to build a daily driver, Hyundai went back to the drawing board and came up with this unique three-door quasi-coupe. The exterior design on this thing looks better than any of its predecessors. It might be the most interesting Korean car to date.
The car comes with a 1.6-liter direct injection engine that delivers 4,850rpm. Buyers get to choose between a six-speed manual and a six-speed dual clutch – the first in the auto maker’s history. And the suspension comes from Hyundai’s mid-sized models. That said, this one might be a winner, but only time will tell if the market will think the same.
Final word
This list is not, by any chance, exhaustive, but it covers some of the affordable and most hyped vehicles this year. We looked at how practical these cars are, plus the level of new technology on them while selecting candidates.
The Honda e might not have a price tag on it right now, but it’s estimated to be anywhere between $20,000 and $30,000. The Mustang retails at $46, 585 and also has the highest rating of the three cars on this list, while the Hyundai Veloster’s prices start at $18,500.
